American Flint Glass Workers' Union records, 1963-1980.

The collection consists of the records of the American Flint Glass Workers' Union from 1963-1980. Includes contract negotiations containing proposals and counter-proposals made between the American Flint Glass Workers' Union and the Glass Container Manufacturers Institute and its successor the Glass Packaging Institute. The conference notes consist of commentaries written by the union secretary on the bargaining procedures. The correspondence includes newsletters sent to various union locals and executive boards, contract summaries, and letters or telegrams sent between American Flint Glass Workers president George Parker and other labor management executives and officials. Also contains information on the American Flint Glass Workers' strike of 1977.
